A visually stunning, poetic film which studies people's relationship with earth, fire, water and air as seen by those who struggle with them every day: from Siberian firefighters to Alaskan fishermen, German miners to Russian cosmonauts. An accomplished and elegant debut from young Dutch film-maker Jiska Rickels, 4 Elements weaves together gorgeous cinematography with an equally sublime soundtrack from her father, avant-garde composer Horst Rickels.
