Alastair MacKinven's paintings, sculptures and performances question and critique art-world myths. His exhibition is based on the Penrose stairs – an impossible object familiar from the work of MC Escher – and it incorporates a series of pieces which explore the perpetual cycles of artistic production and viewing, from studio to gallery and back to the studio.
