The ICA and Veuve Clicquot collaborated on the design project One Object. One Lifetime. which was exhibited at the ICA Figures of Speech Fundraising Gala, 2008. Six renowned and respected designers were invited to respond to a creative brief inspired by the theme of Figures of Speech: treasured possessions, and the distinctive yellow of Veuve Clicquot's signature label. The full list of designers included Tom Dixon, Martino Gamper, Moritz Waldemeyer, Mater, Timourous Beasties, Jordi Canudas and seventh designer Oscar Diaz - chosen after an open call for submissions to ICA The Club members. A selection of the designs were auctioned during the Gala event to raise funds for the ICA New Commissions Fund.
Figures of Speech will return to London on 26 March 2009 in the guise of our yearly fundraising gala. Tickets are available now.
