Pop sensation Mika opened the festival on July 1 followed soon by Paul McCartney on July 5, paving the way for other scorching acts including Mutya, Amy Winehouse and Wir Sind Helden. Other headline acts included Black Rebel Motorcycle Club; Editors; Travis; Groove Armada; Ash; Imogen Heap; Athlete; The Rakes; Stereophonics; The Coral and many many more. A select few of the gigs were filmed and broadcast in four shows on Channel 4.
