Created in partnership with Sony Ericsson, All Tomorrow's Pictures was a pioneering project highlighting the creative potential of fusing art and technology. 59 high profile names spanning the artistic and cultural spectrum from film, design, art and architecture to literature, music, fashion, dance, science and politics, produced a single image or series of images inspired by the theme of 'Tomorrow' - using the state-of-the-art Sony Ericsson K800i cybershot mobile phone. Contributors included Bloc Party, Peter Blake, the Chapman Brothers, Alison Goldfrapp, Helena Christensen and Natalie Press.
These interpretations of the future were assembled into a beautifully-produced hardback book, unveiled at a gala charity event at the ICA, with an auction of original prints raising £15,000 for the ICA's New Commissions Fund. The ICA's Nash & Brandon Rooms hosted an exhibition of the images for two weeks following the launch, and a limited edition of ten of each print was available to buy from the ICA website. In addition, the entire exhibition was auctioned at the ICA Gala in February 2008, raising an incredible £30,000.
