A stirring and extravagant historical drama, starring charismatic young lead Ryuhei Matsuda as a 19th-century Japanese adventurer. Five young men from the Choshu Han flee their country (a capital crime at the time) to England and bring back new ideas and technologies, helping to found modern Japan.
