Sean Snyder: Teachers' Preview

26 February 2009

Free for teachers and educators.

This exhibition is the first institutional solo exhibition in the UK from this significant American artist. Snyder's work shows a pre-occupation with the ongoing re-interpretation of information and images in the news media, from the Cold War to present day conflict. Combining footage and still images from amateur, government and media sources, his works explore such subjects as the ethics of reportage, the staging and manipulation of images, and the changing role of photojournalists in the era of consumer digital imaging.

A visit to the exhibition would actively support teaching the Art and Design curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

This is a chance to hear more opportunities for schools and colleges whilst enjoying a glass of wine with colleagues.
