Quiet Nights
"Personally I like quiet music just as much as I like loud music." Syd Barrett
Every Friday in April we have nights of not-too-loud music upstairs in the beautiful Nash room. If last year's full-up gigs are anything to go by these nights will be a soul-feeding hybrid of Jackanory and Playboy After Dark, with views over the park as the sun goes down and (possibly) homemade lemon drizzle cake.
Get involved! We will be giving out half a dozen Flip video cameras at the start of each night then getting them back at the end to edit the footage into a short film that'll play online. The cameras can be passed around, taken to the loos, balanced on heads, aimed at the performers, or you and your friends, or total strangers, or the view from the window, or any other aspect of the evening, and you can talk and sing to them too. If you want to get involved, let us know when you arrive. To have a look at these lovely little gadgets, see www.flipvideo.co.uk.
Shhhhh! Listen again, quietly. Listen to & download mp3s from all of April's Quiet Nights. Videos coming soon. Meanwhile, watch videos of last year's Quiet Nights.
