Elementary Training for Actors

17 October 2009

£9 / £7 weekday screenings before 5pm

Thought you knew everything there was to know about Method Acting? Think again. Argentina has provided an acting coach who makes you realise Stanislavski and Adler only touched the surface of the intricacies of The Method. Meet Sergio, an acting teacher who works solely with children, and here shares his secrets on how to train them. The youngsters undertake a series of exercises as Sergio reflects on De Sica's Bicycle Thieves, on overacting and on the challenges of working with child actors.

Two of Argentina's most distinguished directors, Martín Rejtman (Copacabana, The Magic Gloves and Silvia Prieto) and Federico León (Everything Together and Stars) unite in this remarkable (and often shockingly funny) dissection of the language of acting.
