Composer Rhys Chatham was the first music director at The Kitchen in New York, pioneering avant-garde and underground music in the 70s and championing minimalism and no wave. Today he is in conversation with musician and author David Toop, an equally influential figure whose 'sonic fictions' have helped define the world of contemporary sound.
Following the conversation, Rhys will conduct and co-perform his composition Guitar Trio from 1977. To purchase a ticket for this separate event please click here. Limited joint tickets for both the conversation and performance are also available at a discounted price.
