The Experiment: September 2009
Experimental everything is explored on the podcast - so just in case you thought we had missed out or forget about that glamour world and glitter of flashing lights that is; the dance floor - here it is!!!
A podcast special all about experimental sounds that make out want to move, who would of thought it, but there is a vast world of sounds out there that is electronically as experimental as Stockhausen playing a moog; whilst riding a white stallion - in fact that image is probably a disco album classic!
First up we have - the London based French electronic/guitar cross-over act - **K based in the east end of London and having just returned from a success tour of the NYC east end....Williamsburg and Brooklyn.
**K aka Mark Wagner is tearing up dance floors with new turns of psyche-stomp - a sound which is in equally part 80's analog synth breaks and 60's garage band vibe - Mark has certainly got a new sound all on its own.
Also for this dance floor glitter special we have a discussion and live mix from boy about town - Fumio Tanga aka Fumix and Future Sound of Clapton - we caught with Fumio for a special talk all about experimental beats, live mixing and complex 'live layering' of sounds! For Fumio has supplied to THE EXPERIMENT a fresh new dj-live mix straight from his turntable right into your ever awaiting ears.
Finally we have the electronic composer/dj mix master/live instrumentalist that is - Dans Mon Salon aka Dimitri Batsis. Think part Greek composer Iannis Xenakis meets Aphex twin with a sprinkle of 70's funk - nice mix - excellent experimental beats!
Keep Listening!
