Artist Biography
Andrea Büttner (Born in Stuttgart in 1972) lives and works in London and Frankfurt. Major exhibitions include Há sempre um copo de mar para o homem navegar - 29th Bienial de São Paulo (2010), Kunsthaus, Essen (2010) Badischer Kunstverein, Karlsruhe (2007), 0-60, ICA London (2008). Buttner was awarded the prestigious MAX MARA prize (2010) and forthcoming exhibitions (2011) include a solo presentation at Whitechapel Gallery and Artpace, San Antonio. The artist is represented by Hollybush Gardens, London.
