ICA Studio
The ‘engine room of the ICA’, the ICA Studio is a raw, industrial, urban space that has been unselfconsciously designed as an area for reflection, discussion and creativity.
It was opened up and adapted by RIBA award-winning 6a Architects who have also worked on projects for the South London Gallery, Raven Row and Studio Voltaire.
The ICA Studio is a private Members’ Room, and available for hire outside of public hours. The space has tables and benches designed by Simon Jones, flexible pendant lighting, exclusive ICA Editions and a rolling programme of unique art works together with a range of ICA archive materials available on display.
Because of the robust nature of the space and the variety of textures, finishes and shapes, it is really flexible and makes a wonderful venue for drinks parties, book signings, wine tastings, lunches and dinners. The space is fully WIFI enabled and is also great for daytime meetings and presentations.
The ICA Studio is licensed for 60 people seated or 90 people standing. The room includes bench seating and tables for up to 40 people. Additional furniture such as bars, lamps or sofas can all be installed and clients should use the ICA’s list of accredited suppliers.
The ICA Studio is available for hire during the following periods:
Saturday to Monday 10am—10pm
Tuesday to Friday 6.30pm—10pm
It is possible to extend these times with earlier access and a late license can be applied for should you wish to have longer events.
