A dark thriller interwoven with moments of laugh-out-loud hilarity, A Bloody Aria takes a brutal look at modern-day power struggles, detailing what happens when an aspiring young opera singer and her mentor happen across a group of disturbed thugs while driving through the countryside. The pair are held captive and forced to participate in the gang’s sadistic funny games. A heady blend of Deliverance and Old Boy, the film is also a bold and darkly amusing experience.
