***** Time Out
Director Esther Robinson's personal inquiry into the truth behind her uncle Danny Williams' mysterious 1966 disappearance. Virtually unknown today, Wiliams was Andy Warhol's lover and a promising young filmmaker. The discovery of 20 never-before-seen films made by Williams during his time at the Factory, with subjects that include Andy Warhol, Edie Sedgwick, Paul Morrissey, Brigid Berlin, Billy Name and what may be the earliest known footage of the Velvet Underground, reveals a luminous talent and a stark gap in the historical record.

A small and very, very cool season of art documentaries inspired by Face Addict, a new release which takes us through the Downtown scene of 70s New York. Among the other films here you'll see and hear tales of Ed Ruscha, Robert Mapplethorpe, Patti Smith, Jean-Michel Basquiat, the Velvet Underground, Ed Kienholz and, of course, Andy Warhol.
