Your book, Black Gold, was well written and appealed to me as an African American. It is my desire to visit Ghana and several other countries in Africa. Thank you for dealing honestly with the contradictions and sharing your story.

Any chance of getting ICA talks turned into podcasts? Four pressing reasons for doing so:
-Most of your competitors have been doing it for a few years now. -It's cheap and easy to do these days. -It's a good marketing device and will attract people to your site. Have also posted this as a query in the 'contact us' page but it really is something that should be up for public debate.Posted: 9:30 pm | 29 June 2009

Hi Ekow,
I don't know if this is the right channel to get in touch with you but that's the only way I found by now. My name is Arnau and I'm a photography student at LCC in Elephant & Castle. I am working on a project on the Ghanaian community in London. I've chosen to do this subject for two main reasons: my interest on the issue of identity in a city like London and the fact that my girlfriend was born in Ghana. I am just starting the project. I want to look at the cultural identity and also try to link it with the role the Ghanaians and West African in general had in the wealth and culture of London. I am reading your book Black Gold of the Sun and I am finding it very interesting. I am approaching you because for me it would be very useful to have a chat and discuss some aspects of my project. Also would be interesting to photograph you. Please let me know. Thanks for your time. ArnauPosted: 5:16 pm | 3 September 2009

I was very interested in your comments on Newsnight Review on Friday. The Physicist who accompanied you and introduced you to string theory at the Frieze art show has identified a very rich vein between art and the exciting ideas of theoretical physics. As an artist my work is concerned with expressing the relationship between art and the fundamental ideas of physics especially the nature of strings. You may be interested in viewing a short video of me making a "String theory and Colour-field Splash" painting on YouTube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Huuf5HJLQVs where the action painting leads to a stunning evocation of string theory with oscillating strings of paint. Other examples of finished work can be seen on my Saatchi webpage at www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/yourgallery/artist_profile/Mike+Bernstein/22715.html where I also attempt an explanation of this revealing demonstration. An Exhibition at the ICA exploring the art of Science would be innovative and timely. I for one would be pleased to exhibit . MikePosted: 1:54 pm | 18 October 2009

Ekow - when are you going to resign? You're clearly not up to leading the ICA and seem, after four years at the helm, still not to have decided what the ICA is for. How much more of a mess will you make? Does your ego have no bounds at all? Well, at least you wear nice suits, unlike that scruffy rad you replaced, Philip Dodd...
Go on, do the decent thing. Resign.Posted: 01:20 am | 28 January 2010
