Adam Pendleton
Adam Pendleton performs Hannah Weiner – An Argument for Black Dada, a new work commissioned for the opening night of Talk Show. With additional voices Maria Fusco, Will Holder and Falke Pisano.
Lower Gallery, 5 May 2009, 7pm
Adam Pendleton is a New York-based artist. In a conceptual, multi-disciplinary practice that includes painting, writing and performance, Pendleton shifts the meaning of cultural forms, language and images. His atomisation of language explores the boundaries between object, speech, translation and meaning. Pendleton is co-editor of the occasional magazine LAB MAG, which publishes the work of artists, designers, poets and architects.
Adam would like to thank Patrick F. Durgin, scholar and editor of Hannah Weiner's Open House from which much of the material for this performance is derived. Hannah Weiner's work used with permission of Charles Bernstein.
