2 - 9 Jun 2008

Anja Kirschner's films fuse historical and literary narratives with popular genres such as sci-fi and soap opera. At the ICA she is showing a new 50-minute film, Trail of the Spider - A Passage Through Limbo, made in collaboration with David Panos. The film is an unsettling vision of a trans-historical Wild West. In a vanishing frontier, swarming with calculating surveyors, corrupt lawmen and hired thugs, a haunted gunfighter must pit himself against a future which offers no retreat and no alternatives.
