Arab Labour + Q&A

17 November 2008

£10 / £9 Concessions / £8 ICA Members.

From renowned writer Sayed Kashua, comic Israeli TV series Arab Labour (Avoda Aravit, Hebrew slang for sloppy workmanship) has managed to burn more than a few holy cows, winning great acclaim and legions of fans along the way. Amjed, a Palestinian-Israeli journalist, is desperate to integrate into Israeli society. As he climbs the social ladder, racial, ethnic and national stereotypes are revealed, the inequalities and absurdities of Israeli society and its Arab minority laid bare.

The film will be followed by a Q&A with writer Kashua and producer Danny Paran.
