Batmacumba Birthday

Batmacumba is 10 this year, and tonight we have the first in a season of fabulous birthday celebrations.
The night focuses on the great city of Recife, with short films and photography from one of Brazil's most vibrant areas, while in the bar DJ Cliffy is joined on the decks by special guest BBC World Music award winner DJ Dolores spinning the best new Brazilian beats.
In the cinema we have a selection of short Brazilian films including Ao Norte and Morro by Gabriel Mascaro and Karaoke Inferno, directed by the Coletivo TV Primavera.
Meanwhile the concourse is taken over by Recife-based Bárbara Wagner's photos of the urban beach of Brasília Teimosa.
