A portrait of the extraordinary Sam Wagstaff, a Yale-educated World War II veteran and visionary museum curator who met photographer Robert Mapplethorpe in the early 70s, became his lover and patron, championed his work, and embraced drugs and S&M.

Shoot Yr Idols

A small and very, very cool season of art documentaries inspired by Face Addict, a new release which takes us through the Downtown scene of 70s New York. Among the other films here you'll see and hear tales of Ed Ruscha, Robert Mapplethorpe, Patti Smith, Jean-Michel Basquiat, the Velvet Underground, Ed Kienholz and, of course, Andy Warhol.
