The fiercely logical Anna (a wonderful performance by nine-year-old Nina Kervel-Bey) lives a comfortable life in early 1970s Paris with her French journalist mother and Spanish lawyer father, until her life is turned upside down when her parents become political activists and she finds herself shifted to a cramped apartment where strange, bearded revolutionaries turn up during the night. A charming and thoughtful film, the first drama from documentary director Julie Gavras (whose father is Z director Costa-Gavras).

An ICA Films release.

Dir Julie Gavras, France 2006, 99 mins
