Nought to Sixty presents sixty projects by emerging artists based in Britain and Ireland over six months from 5 May to 2 November 2008.
Most of the artists in Nought to Sixty are under thirty-five, few of them have had significant commercial exposure, and in most cases this is their first opportunity to mount a solo project in a major public space.
The season is not intended to announce any new generation or style, but to build up a multifaceted portrait of the emerging art scene in the two countries, and to provide a space for exchange.

Cell is a self-funded organisation based in Bethnal Green, founded and run by artists Milika Muritu and Richard Priestley. Cell's studio complex includes an exhibition space; and as part of the organisation's commitment to the professional development of artists, Cell's key aims include offering a high level of curatorial, administrative and practical support to exhibitors; while hosting a range of talks, screenings and events which run alongside their exhibition programme. Increasing links with institutions and galleries overseas Cell have realised projects from the Netherlands, Korea, Japan, Poland, Germany, Denmark, and USA. As part of a unique collaboration, Cell has hosted the Jerwood Artists Platform showcasing ambitious solo exhibitions and site specific projects.
