Comica returns to the ICA in October
A world of comics is converging on Comica, the London International Comics Festival at the ICA, from 20 October to 6 November.
Featuring:
- African teen romance in 1970s Ivory Coast;
- Laika, first cosmonaut dog in space;
- Shooting War exposes Iraq's frontline in 2011;
- a unique Asia-Europe comix-lab puts rising stars together with acclaimed graphic novelists from Brussels, Hanoi, Berlin and Delhi;

Posy Simmonds, Gipi, Misako Rocks, Best New Manga, Observer/Cape Prize, demos, films, docs, performances, music, 24 Hours Comics - and more.
Calls for Applications
Deadline 15 August: European and Asian comic creators under 35 can enter for the exciting Lingua Comica collaboration in London.
Deadline 3 September: UK-resident comic creators can enter a one-page graphic short story to the Observer/Jonathan Cape/Comica Prize.
