Ear Cinema: Late Noon Sun

Late Noon Sun
Late Noon Sun
29 Oct - 1 Nov 2008

What lead to Little Mary's death? 'Late Noon Sun' revisits her strange and sinister tale, and tries to unravel the haunting mystery.

Ear Cinema's artist director and sound designer, Wajid Yaseen invited the acclaimed, award winning, film-maker / animator Lizzie Oxby to direct and devise a film to re-tell the story of Little Mary's death based on Alice Kemp's poetic story.

Following on from Ear Cinema's previous sellout performance at the ICA, 'Late Noon Sun' revisits that sinister tale to try and unravel the haunting, dark mystery. Beautiful live stage performances by Alicia Tatge and Dagmara Bilon are integrated with original, immersive soundscapes by Wajid and Dave Hunt, using unique cutting-edge 3D sound technique 'ambisonics'. Members of the Psychological Art Circus also perform some of their renowned rope and trapeze work in the film.

Ear Cinema will be presented as a multi-screen installation/performance combining animation, film footage, live performance and sound techniques rarely experienced outside of academia. Submerge yourself in a world of eerie wonder and unexpected multi-sensory delights....
