Gideon's Way + Cover to Cover + Q&A

John Creasey
John Creasey
27 September 2008

One hundred years after his birth, we celebrate great British crime writer John Crease.

Unfortunately the print of Gideon's Day that we hoped to screen has proved to be too damaged to use, and efforts to locate an alternative print have drawn a blank.

In their stead we will now be screening on brand new, previously unseen 35mm prints two complete episodes of the 1960s Gideon's Way TV series starring John Gregson as Commanger George Gideon of Scotland Yard:

The Tin God with guest stars Derren Nesbitt and John Hurt. A violent criminal has escaped from jail and before fleeing the country intends to take his revenge on Gideon

The Night Lifers: last episode of the series which stars Anton Rodgers as a suave sadist who leads teenagers astray. Derk Fowlds and Annette Andre also guest star.

These will be followed by short TV documentary Cover to Cover: Who Done It, which has Creasey talking about his screenwriting. Apologies for any disappointment caused.

There will also be a Q&A with Maxim Jakubowski, TCM Crime Scene director and crime writer, and Richard Jeffs, advisor to the John Creasey Estate.

£8 / £7 Concessions / £6 ICA Members.
