An extraordinary, meditative, one-of-a-kind cinematic experience. Film-maker Philip Groening waited 13 years to be granted access to the monastery of the Grand Chartreuse in the French Alps near Grenoble, where he filmed the daily life of the Carthusian monks over one year.
