Soueif is the author of, amongst others, the bestselling Booker Prize nominated The Map of Love (Bloomsbury, 1999), and she is also a political and cultural commentator. McKee is director of the Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) Glasgow. Weizman is director of the Centre for Research Architecture at Goldsmiths College, and his books include Hollow Land: Israel's Architecture of Occupation (Verso, 2007).
