Mike Cooter's multimedia installations pinpoint collisions between the world of TV and cinema and that of 'real' human behaviour. Cooter obsessively pursues these connections through subtle acts of correspondence between images and objects, uncovering narratives that fluctuate between fiction and social reality. For his ICA exhibition Cooter will show a body of work entitled Original Intent that forms a lateral link between the narrative of The Maltese Falcon, and a TV interview with American conservative Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork.
