A dark, stylish mood piece following one tense night on the streets with Hong Kong's Police Tactical Units. When a cop loses his gun, a desperate search ensues, but negotiating the nocturnal world of criminal activity and colourful characters proves to be no easy task. Along with 1999's The Mission and new release Exiled, this serpentine thriller is probably the director's coolest crime film.
