Real People Do the Catwalk: Show & Debate

Designer Sales UK have created The Real People Catwalk Show to celebrate people of different shapes, sizes and ethnicities. Can it work? Watch the show at the ICA (featuring DSUK and ICA members) and then join the debate. Can these models successfully extend the physical vocabulary of the catwalk show? Or is it a cost-cutting strategy which plays into a fetish for the 'authentic'?
The speakers include: Writer and broadcaster Bidisha; Elaine Foster-Gandey, founder of DSUK and The Real People Catwalk Show; Eleni Renton, founder of Leni’s Model Management; Hilary Alexander, fashion director at The Daily Telegraph.
