Scratch, bark, hiss: musical adventurers hiking away into their own lost worlds: featuring Stars of the Lid, Jazzfinger, Simon Bookish and Mute Irregular.
Remember the days when you thought that scratching, barking, hissing and gnawing were all sounds that you would find in the wonderous animal kingdom - well now think again - because these very sounds are the sounds that we have come to love in the ever growing world of experimental music....
This month we have a particularly serious bunch of musical adventurers hiking away into their own lost worlds - from the combined talents of Brian McBride and Adam Wiltzie that form the dream-like duo Stars of the Lid to the north-west of England drone masters Jazzfinger.
We also have the latest releases from the increasingly impressive Mute Irregular label another brillant divison of the Mute Records Family.
And having the final word as it were - we are very happy to amazing tracks from the composer and performer - Simon Bookish - listen in sheer awkward delight to his very original strange epic tales.
Always trying to rethink music - Always trying to retune our ears (both equally hard tasks but we are happy)
Keep Listening!
