The Wave Pictures are, as far as we know, the only band to air the opinion that when Johnny Cash died, a lot of people made a lot of fuss but really, it's not like it was Elvis, is it? They are a very English indie band, with a gawky fuck-it honesty, poignant provincial stories, Northern accents twanging through on their crushingly self-aware lyrics, these are good lads who would make you a proper cup of tea and get the chocolate digestives in. They have worked with Herman Dune and Jeffrey Lewis and we are very happy to be part of their path from dirty pubs to super indie stardom. And watch out for the brass magic!
