X-102 Rediscovers the Rings of Saturn

Lost presents the UK premier of X-102 Rediscovers The Rings Of Saturn

In 1992 Jeff Mills, Mike Banks and Robert Hood - aka Detroit techno dons Underground Resistance - set out to create a musical experience of Saturn. With the X-102 project, the trio took their music careers and their fans to a new chapter in electronic music.

In 2007 Banks & Mills produced a brand new musical and visual version of the project. X-102 Rediscovers the Rings of Saturn features breathtaking images from the Nasa Cassini/Huygen exploratory mission to visit and document Saturn and its moons, alongside a new soundtrack and re-mastered original compositions.

Jeff Mills will be here after both screenings to discuss the thoughts and planning behind this project in conversation with Kodwo Eshun.

After the first screening, Lost hosts a celebration of X-102 Rediscovers the Rings of Saturn in the bar, featuring a prepared soundscape by Jeff Mills and a DJ set from Steve Bicknell.
