The debut screening of the film of the powerful and thought-provoking re-enactment of the death of Peter Fechter - a young man killed trying to cross the Berlin Wall in 1962. If you missed the live re-enactment, this is a must-see event.

The screening will be preceded by a brief introduction about the performance and followed by a discussion about the re-enactment genre with the artist S Mark Gubb and invited speakers. There will be a chance to ask questions at the end.

Panellists include:

S Mark Gubb, the artist who created the re-enactment The Death of Peter Fechter. He lectures on Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University and is artist in residence at Epic Skatepark in Moseley, Birmingham.

Claire Doherty, curator and writer, who leads the Situations programme as Senior Research Fellow in Fine Art at University of the West of England, Bristol.

Rachel Anderson, Head of Interaction at Artangel who has recently produced Did you kiss the foot that kicked you? the first commission for the Jerwood/Artangel Open with artist Ruth Ewan. Rachel maintains her artistic practice which take the form of a series of collaborations investigating grass-roots approaches to social change.

Dominik Danielewicz, an actor based in London who, amongst others, has appeared in Holby City (BBC TV), Ghost Hunter (BBC TV) and The Friday Night Project (Channel 4).
