ABOUT THE PROJECT

Design collective Nous Vous were invited to develop a programme of weekly workshops at the ICA for parents and children from the West End Children’s Centre in Soho. Our weekly workshops were developed in response to the Early Years and Foundation Stage areas of learning and development and in consultation with staff from WECC.

NOUS VOUS

Nous Vous is a group of artists / friends collaborating on design projects, illustration, exhibitions and workshops.
We're are also active musicians, and incorporate musical performances into exhibitions and other projects where possible.

We're based across London and Leeds, but we're still maintaining a working process of collaborating on things as much as possible, experimenting and finding out what happens when we get together — that's part of the fun of working in a group. Usually, what we make as Nous Vous is a lot more exciting that what we could achieve individually.

The context of a project determines whether the outcome is labeled as art, design or something else, but whether we're making pieces for an exhibition, designing promotional material or leading workshops, we're generally approaching things in the same way, and trying to have fun in the process!

Feel free to get in touch if you'd like to know more, or have a look round our website: www.nousvous.eu

ICA

Established in 1947 by a collective of artists, poets and writers to explore contemporary culture the ICA is the UK’s original, charitable, multidisciplinary art centre. It has been at the forefront of artistic experiment since its formation, having presented some of the most radical exhibitions,
films and music. The ICA has played a vital role in shaping contemporary culture. The ICA exists today to challenge the foundations of contemporary art, creating space for new, experimental and independent practice and ideas.

Our learning programme builds sustainable relationships with communities to nurture interest and appreciation of the creative process, broadening engagement with contemporary arts. We run a number of regular family-orientated events and workshops, see www.ica.org.uk/learning for more details.
