Institute of Contemporary Arts
We are located on The Mall in the heart of central London:
Please be aware that the London Marathon will be taking place on Sunday, 26 April. The ICA is open as usual, but the marathon may pose an obstacle to your visit – please plan your travel accordingly.
We are closed Mondays, except for fig-2 openings which will take place in the ICA studio every Monday from 6-8pm throughout 2015. Please access the Studio via the ramp entrance from Carlton House Terrace.
Entry to the ICA is with Day Membership, set at £1. Day Membership includes access to art exhibitions and displays, as well as use of facilities such as the café bar and free wifi.
Plan your journey using Transport for London's Journey Planner or call Transport for London on 020 7222 1234.

To reach the ICA from Charing Cross follow the signs for Trafalgar Square. Head through Admiralty Arch near the south west corner, on to The Mall and we're located approximately 50 metres on the right hand side. To reach the ICA from Piccadilly Circus head down Lower Regent Street to Waterloo Place. The entrance is located at the bottom of The Duke of York steps.
The nearest train station is Charing Cross.
There is a bus stop on nearby Trafalgar Square or Cockspur Street. Please note that no bus services operate on The Mall.
There are bike racks for locking bikes at the top of the Duke of York steps. Directly behind the ICA on the corner of Waterloo place and Carlton House Terrace is a London Cycle Hire docking station. You can use Cyclestreets to plan your cycle journey.
There is no parking on The Mall but the main entrance is available for dropping off passengers. There are metered parking bays in Waterloo Place and Carlton House Terrace, and there are also car parks in Whitcombe St and Spring Gardens, both off Trafalgar Square.
