PERE UBU in concert: Carnival of Souls Tour

Saturday 22 November 2014

ICA Theatre

Pere Ubu is an experimental rock music group formed in Cleveland in 1975. Despite many long-term band members, singer David Thomas is the only constant. Their music reflects interest in both experimental avant-garde music (especially `Musique Concréte) and raw, direct Blues-influenced Garage Rock.

Carnival of Souls is Pere Ubu's 18th album over a forty year career that has seen them break rules, confuse and continue to divide music critics globally.

Thursday 20 November 2014

ICA Theatre

Nimmo specialise in superior dance-pop, with some of the lugubriousness of the xx and the ecstatic darkness of New Order… their tunes are terrific while their lyrics deal in the sort of dismal minutiae that will be familiar to anyone who has endured the breakdown of a relationship - The Guardian
