Our first Essential Screening includes an introduction and post-screening discussion with director Victor Schonfeld. This is the classic confrontational documentary from 1981 detailing the variety of ways in which animals are abused in modern society, through the use of shocking footage. Although made more than 25 years ago, the film - narrated by Julie Christie - remains just as relevant now as ever.
