BAFTA Masterclass Labs: Costume Design with Jane Petrie

5 Jun 2013

Jane studied costume design at the Wimbledon School of Art. After graduating in 1992, she went on to build up a wealth of experience in the wardrobe department of both theatre and film. Her early features credits include Notting Hill, Elizabeth and Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

From working as the assistant costume designer on productions including Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Buffalo Soldiers and the Constant Gardner, Jane went on to designing features such as 28 Weeks Later and Is Anybody There?

She has also costume designed MOON for Duncan Jones, Fish Tank for Andrea Arnold and her next film How I Live Now directed by Kevin Macdonald is out this October.

BAFTA Masterclass Labs are monthly events where innovative talents from the film and television industries share their creative practices with the audience. Sessions are well illustrated with clips or other media, and with much time for questions, these masterclass labs give the audience an opportunity to exchange ideas with some of the industries’ exceptional newer talents.
