★★★★ The Times

The debut feature from British film critic Charlie Lyne, this delightfully idiosyncratic found-footage documentary examines the representation of adolescence in teen films as diverse as Mean Girls, Jeepers Creepers and Ginger Snaps.

Combining clips from a vast array of films, a compelling voiceover by young star Fairuza Balk and a new soundtrack by cult band Summer Camp, the film is at once a breathless introduction to an entire genre and a deeply personal example of cinephilia taken to its absolute limits.

Beyond Clueless, dir. Charlie Lyne, UK 2014, 89 mins.

The ICA Cinema is now completely ad-free. Please note the feature will start following a selection of trailers and information relevant to the ICA programme. All films are 18+ unless otherwise stated.
