Since releasing one of the decade's finest rock debuts (2001's B.R.M.C), the Devon/California trio have battled against addiction, record labels and a vicious press backlash after they 'went folk' on third album Howl. But proving that whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, BRMC returned this year meatier than ever. New album Baby 81 is splattered with classic US garage rock, hearty doses of shoegazing nonchalance and proto-metal drumming. Their most consistent work to date, it is a stonking treat for anyone who likes their rock raw and psychedelic. Tonight we are wildly excited to have them here, supported by their crown princes of dirty rock, Manchester's Nine Black Alps.
