Tim Burton's unforgettable contemporary fairy tale offers a poignant celebration of a visionary spirit struggling to survive in an unforgiving world. A bitter-sweet classic, perfect for the festive season, Edward Scissorhands celebrates it's 24th birthday this year, its touching and funny story inspiring the current popular dance production at Sadler's Wells.

An Avon lady discovers the half-made creation of a mad scientist living in the neighborhood's old abandoned castle.

The scientist died leaving the shy boy with scissors for hands. When she attempts to bring him into suburbia his hands, a metaphor for adolescence, make for some awkward and hilarious situations.
