A provocative and entertaining documentary that follows amateur filmmaker Thierry Guetta as he attempts to get to the bottom of the Banksy myth, only to end up becoming an artist in his own right.

For the better part of a decade, the enigmatic and highly respected British street artist Banksy has risen through the graffiti underworld to become the incognito poster boy for the medium. Without ever revealing his identity, he has safeguarded the purity and integrity of his art. This raucously entertaining and unconventional documentary begins with an eccentric Frenchman obsessed with tracking down Banksy with his camera and attempting to film the unfilmable. Narrated by Rhys Ifans and featuring other internationally renowned street artists such as Invader and Shepard Fairey, the film evolves into an extraordinary meditation on creativity, authenticity and the true nature of the art world.
