For one night only, artists and curators Kate Mahony and Rachel Dowle (Kate Mahony TM) present LIPA! (Lock In Performance Art!) at the ICA Bar.
From the garage to the gallery, LUPA (LOCK UP PERFORMANCE ART) artists - a mad mix of early career, emergent and established performance practitioners - are leaving their lock-up to stage a lock in: closing the bar doors behind them to orchestrate a one hour intervention. With props in hand, the artists will walk in at 8pm, taking over the bar to create DIY performance art.

LUPA is an artist run, non-profit independent performance space situated in a lock up garage on a council estate in Bethnal Green. Once a month curators Jordan McKenzie, Kate Mahony and Rachel Dowle invite the residents of the estate to see student, emerging and mid-career artists alongside major international performance practitioners.
This event is initiated by ICA Student Forum member Kate Mahony.
