Still: The Clay Bird

Members' Screening: The Clay Bird

29 Mar 2008

A beautifully observed drama set in east Pakistan in the early 1970s, pulled from the ICA archives for our members. The military oppression that caused such tension in the country at that time is reflected in the experiences of a village family, particularly the young son who is sent to boarding school by his increasingly strict father. An award-winner at the Cannes Film Festival and a firm favourite with ICA audiences.

Dir Tareque Masud, France/Pakistan 2002, 89 mins, subtitles, Cert PG
