The Trouble with Fashion

17 Sep 2014

With fashion house and artist collaborations increasingly ubiquitous within the intertwined markets for fashion and art, this panel examines issues surrounding contemporary art and fashion cross-overs. Chaired by curator Christabel Stewart, speakers include writer Hettie Judah, photographer and founder of SHOWstudio Nick Knight, and fashion historian Lucy Norris.

Unfortunately Charlie Porter can no longer participate in in this panel.

Celebrating fruitful partnerships as well as casting a critical eye on some art-meet-fashion relationships, this panel explores the ‘trouble’ with fashion in the art world and simultaneously, issues surrounding art in the world of fashion.  This panel addresses critical questions regarding influence, value accrual and design display.

Curated in collaboration with London-based author and panellist Hettie Judah.
