Previously at the ICA - Events
27 Feb 2009
To celebrate St David's day we are hosting the first day of an all-Welsh extravaganza. Part two follows on Sat Feb 28 at the Lexington in Kings Cross.
First up on the ICA stage, Colorama melt hearts with country-tinged soul beauty. Sweet Baboo is a rustic, rhyming hero, a unique talent, who recently toured with Euros Childs. Richard James is a former Gorky's Zygotic Mynci whose next solo album promises to be as magic as his first, Seven Sleepers Den. Sibrydion just released Campfire Classics, a joyous collection of melodies and, topping the bill, we have Wales' finest party band: Derwyddon Dr Gonzo. Their big tunes will help bust your groove into the early hours where guest DJs and surprise Welsh treats will lie in-waiting. Last year's Wales Uber Alles was a shed load of fun. The ICA has high and happy hopes that this year’s event will be even better.
Following the music Andy Votel (Finders Keepers) and Huw Evans will present the chillingly rare cinematic redux of O'r Ddaear Hen! (From The Ancient Earth!). Huw and Andy will intro the film from midnight and provide exclusive commentary to explain what the hell be going on. Literally.
Brought to us with a smile by Swn Festival, Kruger magazine and Radio 1's Huw Stephens.
